Picking back up with the 2011 Recap in FALL! Fall has always been my favorite season. I think maybe it’s because my birthday is in Fall. And this year, I turned the big 3-0! Woot!
We started remodeling the main floor of our house the first week in September. I’ve related it to having a baby… it’s a painfully slow process, really uncomfortable while you are going through it, and you get something beautiful when it’s done. Plus it takes a REALLY long time to forget how much work it was. Needless to say, we aren’t having another baby or doing another remodel!
I’ll do a separate post & show you the beauty that is my new kitchen. During the remodel (which took 8 weeks), we were confined to just a few rooms of the house. That is REALLY hard with a toddler!! So we spent as much time as possible out of the house.
There is this really big park a few minutes from our house. We spent a lot of time there. Not only does it have excellent swings & slides, but there are several really large fields that little (and big) boys can run around in.
Doug & Johnny would run in the field throwing footballs, kicking soccer balls. They both really love it. It’s evident that Johnny thinks Doug is the coolest person ever. And vice versa.
There is a little boy that frequents the park that wears a Red Sox hat. After the first few visits, we made it a point to always wear a Yankees hat… you know, gotta represent. =)
Sometimes the swing is just sooooo peaceful & it’s close to nap time &….zzz
And on days when we didn’t go to the park, we were in the back yard playing even more football.
Johnny just can’t seem to get enough of his cousin, Fisher (my sister, Kristin’s little boy). Any time they are in the same vicinity they are chasing each other & cracking up.
Piper (my niece – Kristin’s little girl) can pick awesome hiding spots while playing hide & go seek.
More hiking – I think all of these were taken while hiking Blodgett.
And spending even more time with cousins.
This little guy is so much fun. He’s all about exploring & testing his boundaries right now.
I think we are *almost* caught up on 2011! Yay!!
Until next time.
